How to Make Lucite Rings
One of the easiest rings to make is a simple lucite bead ring. Any beginner can make one in less than 10 minutes. A basic lucite ring does not require any jewelry making pliers or tools to construct. The lucite ring is crafted using three supplies: a ring base, a lucite bead or lucite bauble and high-strength jewelry glue. Making lucite rings is a great jewelry craft for children, teens and adults alike.
Things You'll Need

- Lucite bead or bauble

1
Select the ring base for the lucite ring. Ring bases come in specific ring sizes--usually size 3 up to size 10--as well as adjustable ring bases in small, medium and large. Ring bases come in many different materials with unique band designs.
-
2
Choose a lucite bead or bauble that is the correct size and weight for the ring base. The ring will have a flat base measured in millimeters--12mm or 15mm--for attaching the bead. Some rings will have designs around this flat base, in which case choose a lucite piece that does not hide the design and fits in the designated area perfectly.

3
Apply the high-strength jewelry adhesive on the ring base. Place the tip of the glue in the center of the base and gently squeeze the tube. Use a toothpick to spread the glue if necessary.
-
4
Set the lucite bead or bauble into the adhesive on the ring base. Hold the lucite piece in place for 10 to 15 seconds.
-
5
Place the lucite ring in a ring holder that allows the lucite bead or bauble to face up while drying, allowing gravity to work with the adhesion. Let sit for the time specified by the glue manufacturer. Depending on the active ingredients used in the glue, this time can vary greatly by product.

Tips & Warnings
Don't set the lucite ring in a position while drying that could allow the lucite piece to slip down while drying resulting in a crooked bauble.
