How to Remove Mold From Window Frames

White distilled vinegar kills mold on window frames without discoloring or damaging the frame. Vinegar is also safe to use around pets and children. The vinegar leaves an odor, but it disappears quickly. A small bottle of vinegar costs about $1, making it cheaper than commercial mold killers.

Things You'll Need

• Rubber gloves
• White distilled vinegar
• Medium-sized bowl
• Sponge
• Running water

Instructions

1. Put the gloves on to protect your hands from the mold.

2. Fill the medium-sized bowl with white distilled vinegar.

3. Submerge the sponge in the bowl for 10 seconds. Lift the sponge just above the top of the vinegar. Squeeze the sponge once to remove excess vinegar.

4. Wipe the mold and the frame with the sponge.

5. Hold the sponge under running water to rinse. Squeeze the sponge as it fills with water. Repeat two to three times.
