Press "Ctrl," "Alt," and "Delete" together to launch a task manager. Click the "Processes" tab. Scroll down, click "av2009.exe," and click "End Process." Close the task manager.

Click the Windows "Start" menu and click "Search." Select the "C:" in the "Look in" box and select the option to search all the files and folders. Search for and delete the following files: nqgpedlr.dll, av2009.exe.

Click the Windows "Start" menu and click "Run" (Windows XP) or "Start Search" (Windows Vista and 7). Type "regedit" (without quotes) and press "Enter" to launch the registry.

Click the "Edit" menu. Select "Find" from the pop-up menu to launch the search tool. Search for and delete the following entries: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\software\microsoft\internet explorer\toolbar\webbrowser\{5f1abcdb-a875-46c1-8345-b72a4567e486}
