How to Make an Easy Paper Shotgun
Kids have vivid imaginations that let them play happily with the simplest toys for hours at a time. The toy gun is a popular choice for boys, most of whom will have played with a water gun, cap gun or some other variation of the toy gun by the time they reach maturity. Even a toy gun made out of paper, like a paper shotgun, can captivate their imaginations. In addition to the fun they'll have playing with it, they can have a good time making it, too.
Instructions
-
Create the Barrel
-
1
Tape two sheets of paper together along their shorter sides, to form one long sheet of paper.
-
2
Roll the taped sheets of paper lengthwise until you have a tube 1 inch in diameter. Tape the tube to hold it together. Duplicate this process with two more sheets of paper, so you'll have a second identical tube.
-
-
3
Lay these tubes side-by-side and tape them together to make the double-barrel part of your shotgun.
Add the Handle
-
4
Cut a sheet of paper in half lengthwise and roll each half into a tube.
-
5
Tape the two tubes together side-by-side, then tape them to the double-barrel. They should lie flat against the double-barrel and be 1 inch from the end.
-
6
Cut another sheet of paper in half lengthwise and roll each half into a tube.
-
7
Tape the two tubes together, then tape them to the double-barrel. These tubes should be attached at a 45 degree angle and fit into the 1-inch space at the end of the double-barrel.

Tips & Warnings
Use black construction paper for the double-barrel and brown construction paper for the handle to make the paper shotgun sturdier and more realistic looking.
