Several websites and programs online allow you to write your own calendar, including pictures and fun graphics. For best results, you should print your calendar on high-quality paper, or have it printed at a copy store.

1. Decide on a theme for your calendar. A personal calendar may include a more family theme, whereas a calendar for work will focus on your business's goods or services. Gather a large selection of images that work with your theme, and choose 12; one for each month. If you want a separate picture for the front cover of the calendar, choose a 13th image. Save these images at a high resolution on your computer and name each one by month accordingly.

2. Make a list, month by month, of dates that are important to you and relevant to your calendar. Dates to consider include birthdays of family and friends, anniversaries, vacation time or work deadlines.

3. Find a vendor online that offers a calendar creation template, such as Shutterfly, Snapfish or Lulu. Most of these websites will require you to set up an account first, which is typically free. You will need to enter your name and email address, as well as a name for your calendar, when setting up your account.

4. Follow the website's instructions on setting up your calendar, which will most likely involve creating one month at a time. Upload the image you selected in Step 1 for that month, then enter all of the dates you wrote for the month in Step 2. Continue until all 12 months are complete and save.

5. Follow the website's instructions on printing or ordering your calendar. While there is most likely a fee involved with printing through the service, printing a high-quality copy of your calendar will involve good, thick paper and a lot of color ink, and it may be more affordable for you to print remotely from the vendor.
