How to Install Chinese Windows XP
Windows XP is a popular Microsoft operating system. A successor to Windows 2000 Pro and Windows Me, Windows XP offered several new features to its users, including faster startup and hibernation times, Windows Media Center software and two physical processors. Windows XP comes in different languages, including Chinese, which you can select while installing the operating system on your computer.

Insert the Windows XP installation CD into your CD-ROM drive.

Restart your computer.

Press any key when you get the prompt "Press any key to boot from CD."

Press the "Enter" key when you get to the "Welcome to Setup" screen.

Read the licencing agreement. Press the "Page Down" key to scroll down to the bottom. Press the "F8" key to proceed further.

Press the "Enter" key to select "Unpartitioned space."

Press the "Enter" key again to select "Format the partition using the NTFS file system." Windows should start formatting your hard drive. This process may take as long as half an hour.

Click on the "Customize" button when you get to the "Regional and Language Options" page. Click on the drop-down menu under "Standards and Formats." Select the preferred dialect of Chinese. You should get five options: "Chinese (Simplified PRC)," "Chinese (Simplified, Singapore)," "Chinese (Traditional, Hong Kong S.A.R.)," "Chinese (Traditional, Macao S.A.R.)" and "Chinese (Traditional, Taiwan)." Make a selection based on your preference. Click on "Apply" and select "OK."

Follow the rest of the prompts to enter your full name, your organization name, licence key (written on your Windows XP CD case), computer name, password and time settings to finish the installation.

Restart your computer when the installation finishes.
