How to Use Mininova Torrent
Mininova is a website designed to allow users to share files called "torrent" files. Each small file (a torrent is smaller in size than a megabyte) refers back to a whole file on a user's computer. The person who downloaded the torrent can then use a program called a client to download that whole file from the original user's computer. Though Mininova used to have its fare share of copyrighted material, all of the torrents on Mininova are now completely legal.

Open your Web browser.

Go to Mininova's website (see References) and search for a torrent file to download. You can use the "Browse Categories" button to search for torrent files by category or the "Search" bar to search for a torrent by keyword or name.

Click on the blue "Download this Torrent!" file to download the torrent file to your computer.

Download and install a torrent client like uTorrent, Vuze or BitComet. These programs are available for free and allow you to download the file from the original user's computer.

Right-click on the torrent file. Click "Open With." Click on the name of your torrent client to open the torrent file within that program. The torrent file will automatically tell your computer how to download the original file onto your hard drive.
