In laptops and desktops alike, scroll bars are automatically built-in to the interface of Web and Explorer pages that have more information than can be displayed in the first screen. In desktops, these scroll bars are quite easy to operate as many computer mice come with a page scroll wheel. In laptops however, there is no such easy-scrolling wheel. In order to get a laptop scroll bar to work, a user must use the touch-pad.
Place your index (or preferred) finger on the touch-pad and move the mouse cursor over the scroll bar.
Press the left touch-pad button and hold it down.
Drag the scroll bar down (or up) until you reach the desired section of the page.
