1
Try several sizes until you find one that fits your body. Skinny leggings and jeans should lay flat and not be too tight on your waist, thighs or ankles. If the leggings are too tight, you will look and feel uncomfortable. Darker colors will create a more slimming effect.

2
Wear a shirt, sweater or jacket that hits you at hip-level or longer. Looser, more flowing tops will balance out the slender look of the leggings or jeans. If you are self-conscious about your size, wear a tunic or shirt that hits below your rear-end.

3
Wear ballet flats or other flat shoes for a casual look, or pair the leggings with a pair of heels or boots for a dressier look.
-
4
Try a skirt or dress over skinny leggings. Make sure the skirt or dress hits at thigh or knee-level, not longer, to prevent looking overly casual or young and also to show off your skinny leggings.
-
5
Avoid tapered skinny leggings or jeans. Tapered pants only make the legs look bigger and detract from looking sleek and chic.
