How to Calculate Yearly Salary to an Hourly Rate
When you are offered a job, an employer may offer to pay you per hour, while another might want to pay you an annual salary. To make an accurate comparison of the two wages, you need to be able to convert the yearly salary to an hourly rate. Before you make the conversion, you need to know how many hours per week and how many weeks per year you work.

1
Estimate the number of hours that you work per week. For example, if you work a standard 40-hour work week, you would use 40.
-
2
Multiply the number of hours per week you work by 52 weeks per year to calculate the total number of hours per year you work. If you only work part of the year, use the number of weeks you actually work. In this example, assuming you worked the whole year, you would multiply 52 by 40 to get 2,080 hours of work per year.

3
Divide your annual salary by the number of hours per year to calculate your hourly wage. Finishing the example, if your annual salary was $44,000, you would divide $44,000 by 2,080 to find your hourly wage to be about $21.15.
