How to Camp in Letchworth State Park
Letchworth State Park, located in western New York, is popularly referred to as the "Grand Canyon of the East," according to the New York State Office of Parks and Recreation. Major natural attractions in the park include the Genesee River gorge and three large waterfalls. Numerous outdoor activities are available, such as hiking, whitewater rafting, and horseback riding, as well as winter sports, such as cross-country skiing and snowmobiling. The park also regularly hosts cultural and educational programs focused on nature, history, and the performing arts.

Access the campground from the Perry entrance on Schenck Road, located four miles east of Perry, according to the Letchworth State Park pdf (see "References" below).

Each campsite includes a grill. Utilize campground amenities, which include picnic tables and wood-burning grills, a water spigot, hot showers, and a children's play area.
Tips & Warnings
Note the park requires a two night minimum for campsites.
