How to Backup Quicken 2007

Quicken 2007 is financial software that can be used to track, manage, organize and budget all personal finances or sales for a business. Users can also create graphs and reports to give visual representations of the financial data. This version of the Quicken software also is compatible with Mac operating systems and allows users to back up their data files. The simplest way to back up Quicken 2007 is to use a USB drive to store the backup file.

Instructions

1. Close out of the Quicken 2007 application on your computer. Insert a USB drive into the USB port of your computer.

2. Open the Quicken 2007 application again. Click on the "File" option from the top toolbar menu and then click on the "Backup" option.

3. Verify that the specific Quicken 2007 file that you want to back up appears in the "Backup data file" field. Check the box next to the "On my computer" field.

4. Click on the "Browse" option and locate the USB drive on your computer. Check the box next to the "Add date to file name" field; enter the date.

5. Click on the box next to the "Use Windows CD Writing Wizard" so that it is deselected. Click on the "OK" button to start the backup process. Click on the "OK" button when the process is complete.
