How to Remove Deodorant Stains on Dark Clothes
Deodorant stains can ruin any nice shirt or dress. However, deodorant stains on dark clothing are more noticeable, which can lead to embarrassment when you are out in public. You can get rid of deodorant stains on your dark clothing using supplies found in most homes. An absorbent towel keeps your work surface clean. Place a clean towel on your work surface.

Lay your deodorant-stained garment on the clean towel with the stain face up.

Pour vodka directly on the deodorant stain to fully saturate the fabric. Rub the fabric together to work the vodka into the deodorant stain. Allow the vodka to sit on the stain for at least two hours.

Table salt works as a natural abrasive to remove some stains. Pour table salt onto the vodka-soaked area. Work the salt into the fabric as you rub it together. Let the salt sit on the stain for 30 minutes.

Cold water rinsing is best for stain removal. Rinse your garment using cold water to remove the table salt and vodka. Pour a small amount of laundry detergent onto the area that was stained with deodorant and rub it in before puting the item in the washing machine.

Add 1/4 cup of table salt to your wash water, along with the laundry detergent, when using your washing machine. This will remove any last remnants of deodorant stains from your dark clothing. Wash your garment according to the directions on the care label.

Tips & Warnings
Rub a black sock against deodorant stains when you are in a hurry to leave the house. Wipe on the inside of the garment, then the outside. This method provides a quick fix by hiding the stain.
Avoid wiping deodorant stains on dark clothing with water and paper towels. Some of the stain may be removed but you will also have white fibers on your garment from the paper towels.
