How to Use Macromedia Flash Player 8
Macromedia Flash Player 8 (now owned and produced by Adobe) is an Internet based video player that plays online videos without forcing you to download the entire movie before viewing it. Macromedia Flash Player 8 functions in a similar way to other video players and many of the same control keys at the same. Once the program is installed on the computer (available through the Adobe website) you are ready to begin viewing a wide arrange of Internet videos.

Open your Internet browser and navigate to a website with flash videos. Examples of websites with flash videos include: CNN, ESPN and Hulu.

Click the "Play" button on the video window and the video begins to buffer. Momentarily the video plays on the computer screen.

Click "Pause" to pause the video during playback. You can also press the spacebar to play and pause the video.

Select the audio controls on the lower right corner of the Macromedia Flash player window. Drag the volume control slider up to increase the volume and down to decrease the volume

Click anywhere in the timeline bar at the bottom of the page to skip ahead or back on the video. It takes a moment for the video to jump ahead as it has not yet buffered or loaded the specific area, however, in a moment or two the Macromedia Flash Player 8 begins to play again.
