How to Convert to a 3GP File
3GP video files appear most often as cell phone movie recordings and downloadable content. Additionally, on many cell phones and smart phones, videos can only be played back when they come in the 3GP container. Thus, many users want to put movies on their hard drives into the 3GP format. Luckily, multiple free online tools can perform precisely that task.

Launch media-convert.com (see Resource section). Select "Choose File" and find the movie file you wish to convert. Then, choose it in the pop-up window by clicking the "OK" button. Media-convert limits file upload size to 200MB.

Select your video input format in the input drop-down menu. Next, choose "3GP" for your movie output in the output drop-down menu.

Click "OK" to start the movie conversion. Once the transfer finishes, click the link to download your new file.
