Bluetooth allows you to pair small devices with hosts like a computer, headset or another Bluetooth device for sharing files and information across short-wave wireless signals. If you have a Bluetooth device and are having trouble making it work with Ubuntu Linux, you can troubleshoot it from Ubuntu's desktop. The most common way to fix a Bluetooth problem is to reset the adapter.

      Open a Terminal by going to Applications > Accessories > Terminal. Type "sudo hciconfig hci0 reset" into it and press Enter. This resets the device.

      Switch off your Bluetooth device and restart your computer. Wait for Ubuntu to load.

      Go go System > Preferences and open the Bluetooth manager. Switch on your Bluetooth and select "Pair Device" in the manager. This should connect your Bluetooth device. If not, repeat Step 1 while keeping the device switched on.
