How to Make Homemade Christmas Ornaments With Kraft Paper
Kraft paper, a brown paper often used for wrapping, also makes a cheap material for creating your own Christmas ornaments. These Christmas decorations require no special skills to make, so even children can participate in the crafting. Look for Christmas-themed patterns or templates on the Internet or use cookie cutters in the shapes of trees, angels or reindeer. Does this Spark an idea?

1
Print a Christmas-themed pattern from the Internet and cut the shapes out with scissors. Skip this step if you wish to use cookie cutters for the template.
-
2
Use Christmas-themed cookie cutters for templates instead of paper patterns. Place the cut-out pattern or cookie cutter on top of a sheet of Kraft paper and trace the outline of the shape onto the paper using a pencil.
-
-
3
Cut the shape out from the kraft paper using scissors and place it onto a paper plate.
-
4
Spread a thin layer of glue over the entire surface of the Kraft paper shape, smoothing the glue out with the side of a wooden craft stick or a paintbrush.
-
5
Sprinkle glitter on your ornaments to add a festive, holiday touch. Sprinkle glitter over the glue, covering the surface with a heavy layer of glitter.
-
6
Turn the ornament upside down to knock the excess glitter off onto the paper plate and lay the ornament, glitter side up, to dry on a flat surface for one hour.
-
7
Use a hole punch to create a hole in the top of the Kraft paper ornament.
-
8
Insert a 6-inch length of ribbon into the hole, and tie the two ends to create a loop from which to hang your Christmas ornament, and hang on your tree.
