How to Program a Sharp VCR Remote

The Sharp VCR and VCR remote can be programmed to work with dozens of television brands. Program or reprogram the remote in just minutes from your television using the remote codes for your particular component. Your TV code can be found in the manual for your remote (or in the link in References). Once programmed, your Sharp VCR remote will be ready for use immediately.

Instructions

1. Press and hold the "Cable" button on your Sharp VCR remote at the same time as your channel "+" button.

2. Release the two buttons and use your keypad to enter the two-digit code for your television brand.

3. Press the "Cable" button on your remote while pointed at the television again, and release. Press the "Power" button on your remote to end the programming sequence and turn the power off.
