How to Get Soft & Wavy Hair
One summer hair trend is beachy, soft waves that cascade over sun-kissed shoulders and down the curve of your back. Although this sounds pretty romantic, many women find it difficult to attain this look. Hair products like gel weigh down hair and make curls feel hard and crispy. Mousse is lighter, but the alcohol dries out curls and makes hair frizzy. It seems impossible to avoid the "wet look" when applying product and letting your tresses dry naturally. Get soft, wavy hair by using the right products and tools. Does this Spark an idea?
Things You'll Need
- Anti-frizz shampoo
- De-tangling conditioner
- Wide-tooth comb
- Curl cream
- Anti-frizz serum
- Hairdryer with diffuser
Instructions

1
Shampoo your hair with an anti-frizz shampoo. Rinse with lukewarm water. Apply conditioner from the root to the tip, ensuring all of your hair is covered. Let the conditioner sit for a few minutes, then rinse completely with lukewarm or cool water.
-
2
Squeeze excess water from your hair with a towel until your hair is damp, but not dripping. Do not briskly rub your hair with the towel, as the friction causes breakage, making hair look frizzy.

-
3
Comb through your hair--beginning at the ends, then working your way to the root--with a wide-tooth comb to remove tangles.
-
4
Put a medium to large dollop of curl cream in the palm of your hand and rub your hands together.
-
5
Apply the curl cream evenly from root to tip, making sure to cover fine hairs around the hairline.
-
6
Squeeze a small amount of anti-frizz serum into your palm and rub your hands together. Distribute the serum through the back of your hair first, then into the sides. Avoid the roots.
-
7
Position the hairdryer with the diffuser attached facing up from the ends of your hair. Turn the dryer on "High" and scrunch your hair up with the flat end of the diffuser.
-
8
Alternately scrunch your hair from the ends up with your hand while drying. Do this until your hair is nearly dry. Let your hair completely dry naturally.
