Mold and mildew can grow in many undetected places, especially bathrooms. There are many store bought products that promise to kill mold, but they usually contain tons of harsh chemicals. You really don't need all of those chemicals to kill mold. Believe it or not, using vodka is a great way to kill mold and keep mildew smells at bay.

1 cup of vodka
1 cup of distilled water
10 drops of lavender essential oil
10 drops of lemon essential oil
Step 1
Mix all the ingredients together in a clean spray bottle and shake well.

Spray moldy area with spray and let sit for 5 to 10 minutes.
Step 3
Wipe away mold and mildew with a clean cloth.
In areas like the undercarriage of a toilet, the mixture will seep underneath and kill any mold or mildew spores under the toilet.
You can use this mold killing mixture in any area where mold and mildew may occur like refrigerators, bathtubs, shower stalls, under toilets and in your garage or basement too.
