How to Use Wrist Wraps
Wrist wraps, along with weight belts and gloves, can be a crucial piece of weight lifting equipment. They provide the advantage of not just supporting your wrist but also of increasing your grip strength, which in turn will increase the overall amount of weight that you can lift. There are slight differences in how these are used with dumbbells and barbells and other factors should be considered such as dominant hand or previous injuries.
Instructions

Using Wrist Wraps: Dumbbells
-
1
Insert both of your wrists through the loops and pull the extensions of the wrap until it is secure but not restricting the blood flow. The extension should be passing by the palm of your hand.
-
2
Wrap the extensions of the wrap around the bar of the weight. If you have a weaker hand, wrap it first so that it will be secure before moving on to the second weight.
-
-
3
With one wrist already wrapped, use the other hand to wrap itself by placing the extension on the bar on the dumbbell and sliding it around several times until it is tight.
-
4
Grip the wraps that are around the bar, using them as a grip. Make sure that the wraps are equally secured on both wrists.
Using Wrist Wraps: Barbell
-
5
Insert both of your wrists through the loops and pull the extensions of the wrap until it is secure but not restricting the blood flow. The extension should be passing by the palm of your hand.
-
6
Wrap the extensions of the wrap around barbell. Use your dominant hand to assist the non-dominant hand.
-
7
Once your non-dominant hand is secure, place your dominant hand next to your non-dominant and secure it, using the other hand.
-
8
With both hands having secure grips, slide them into position.
