How to Play an iPod Movie on Apple TV
Movies that are synced to your iPod from the iTunes program can also be streamed to the Apple TV, which plays movies, TV shows and music when connected wirelessly to your computer and plugged into your television. In order to watch a movie on your Apple TV you must have an enhanced-definition or high-definition television, as well as a shared Wi-Fi connection.

Open the iTunes program on your computer by clicking the iTunes icon on your Macintosh screen's dock, or double-clicking the iTunes icon on your PC's desktop.

Plug the Apple TV's power cable into an electrical outlet and into the power port located on the back of the Apple TV.

Insert the HDMI cable into the HDMI port on the back of the Apple TV and into the HDMI port on the back of your television. For televisions that use component video and analog audio, plug the video and audio cables into the back of the Apple TV and into the appropriate ports on the back of your television.

Turn on your television and change your TV's input to HDMI or AVI.

Press the Center button on the Apple TV remote to select a Wi-Fi network and enter the password.

Press the Center button on the Apple TV remote to select "Settings" on the TV screen, and highlight "Computer" on the Apple TV screen by pushing the up and down arrows on the Apple TV remote.

Press the Center button to select "Computer," and press the Center button again to select "Connect to iTunes."

Enter the 5-digit code displayed on your television screen into the iTunes window on your computer to pair iTunes to the Apple TV. Create a name for your Apple TV in iTunes and click the "OK" button.

Press the "Menu" button on the Apple TV remote several times to return to the main menu and highlight the "Movies" tab on the TV screen. Press the Center button twice to select the movie you wish to stream from iTunes.
