How to Make Homemade Friendship Ornaments, Crafts & Treats
In the words of Jerome Cummings, "A friend is one who knows us, but loves us anyway." Thus, showing our appreciation to friends for their friendship is a fitting move. Ideally, you should make these friendship crafts and treats together with your friends and exchange them. That way, you will have not only the finished product to remind you of your friend, but the memory of the experience, as well.

Instructions
-
Whimsical Ornament
-
1
Take a picture of yourself (make it a close-up of your face), and cut it in a circle so that it will fit on one side of your large ornament.
-
2
Glue your photo to one side of the ornament. Allow it to dry.
-
-
3
Thread an ornament hanger through the loop at the top of the ornament. Poke the end of the hanger through one end of a standard-sized straw. The ornament should now dangle down from the straw.
-
4
Use the other ornament hanger to pierce the top end of the straw. Place a small Santa's hat over the top of the straw, and, using the top ornament hanger, pierce the top of the Santa's hat. The Santa's hat should rest on top of the ornament (so it looks like you are wearing it), and the hanger should protrude enough for you to hang your ornament from the Christmas tree.
-
5
Stuff the hat with tissue paper or newspaper so that it puffs outwards. Line two-sided tape along the interior bottom brim of the hat and attach it to the ornament so that none of the stuffing can escape. You can now exchange your ornament with your friend.
Friendship Box
-
6
Take a small wooden box, such as a cigar box, and cut pieces of construction paper that are the same size as each side of the box. Glue each piece down with craft glue.
-
7
Cut out magazine pictures that showcase things you and your friend both like, such as movies, celebrities, foods and places, and cover the box with these images, gluing them down. You want your box to look like a 3-D collage.
-
8
Glue on glitter, sequins, buttons or metallic pieces that spell out your friend's name. Allow everything to dry.
-
9
Open the box, and measure the length and width of each side of the interior. Cut fabric to match.
-
10
Glue each panel of fabric down on the inside of the box. Allow to dry. Give as is so your friend can fill with special mementos, or fill with homemade treats wrapped in plastic wrap.
