How to Improve Your Limewire Results
Searching through the online P2P (peer-to-peer) network known as Limewire can be difficult if you do not know how to narrow down your search results. Limewire allows users to download music, movies, pictures and other entertainment in different data forms, but it is usually a little more complicated than simply typing in the name of the song you want.

1
Use keywords strategically. If you are looking for a song and you type in only the title, you are most likely going to get back dozens of unrelated entries. These entries pop up because they contain one or more words in your song title. To narrow down the list that pops up, try typing in two main words of the title and the song artist. For example, try "woman cry Bob Marley." Play around with different keywords to change the list of selections that pops up.

2
Check the file type. This usually appears to the left of the title when the list pops up after you enter a search term. Data types include "mp3, mp4, wma, torrent." The file type needs to be compatible with the software you intend to play it on.

Preview the entry you have selected to download. Once the download has started, an option is available to listen to it before the download finishes. Double-click the download and see if it plays appropriately. If not, you can cancel the download and try again with another file type.
