Metacafe is a content distribution tool that streams videos and other live media straight from the Metacafe server to the user's desktop. The downside is the program is bloatware, taking up a lot of system resources and sometimes producing ads directly on the desktop. It is fairly easy to uninstall the application and remove your account.

Instructions

    • 1

      Open the start menu. Click "Control Panel".

    • 2

      Navigate to the "Add/Remove Programs" option, also known as "Programs and Features" under Vista and Windows 7.

    • 3

      Locate the MetaCafe Pro application on the list of installed programs, and click the "Uninstall" button.

    • 4

      Allow the uninstall to finish and reboot the PC.
