How to Fish With Berkley Gulp Baits
Berkley Gulp soft baits are impregnated with scent to make your lure more enticing to fish. They come in a large array of colors, scents, shapes and sizes, depending on what type of fish you are trying to catch, and are good for salt or freshwater. Berkley Gulp are easy to use and will help increase your catch rate, since their scent will encourage fish to come back for a second go if they miss the hook the first time.

1
Place the Berkley Gulp onto a jig head. Jig heads are hooks used to affect and improve the performance of your bait. Depending on what type of jig head you use, your bait will react differently in the water.
-
2
Feed the bait around the curve of the hook until the Gulp bait covers the shank of the hook. The bait should lay straight at this point. It is important that it is covering the shank of the hook to ensure the hook is sufficiently covered. This will disguise it from fish and ensure that when a fish bites down on the bait, the hook will be able to pierce the fish.

3
Make sure the Gulp is fed all the way up to the jig head. Tear the length of the Gulp, in necessary. It should be straight along the hook shank.

4
Use your completed rigging as you normally would.

Tips & Warnings
Always wear gloves when handling the bait. This will help prevent transferring your scent to the bait.
If you are using a bare hook, make sure your Gulp bait is straight. You can then pull your Gulp bait across the surface of the water, giving the illusion of an albacore.
Your Gulp baits will come in a resealable plastic bag. Keep your bag sealed when not in use to keep the Gulp baits fresh. Likewise, when you are done using them, remove them from the hooks and replace them in the bags to keep them from drying out.
