How to Connect a Pinnacle 700 USB to a DV Cam
Pinnacle 700 USB is a video capture card used with Pinnacle video editing programs. The Pinnacle 700 connects to a computer via USB data cable. The capture card is an external device that has a variety of different connection ports, including a firewire port. With the firewire connection port, you can import data from a digital video camera.

Insert the USB data cable into the USB port on the back of the Pinnacle 700 USB. Attach the opposite end of the cable into one of the USB ports found on your computer system.

Plug the firewire cable into the firewire port located on the digital video camera. Attach the free end of the cable into the firewire port on the Pinnalce 700 USB.

Launch the Pinnacle video editing software. Choose "Capture," and a list of all the capture devices connected to the computer appear. Select "Pinnacle 700 USB," and the digital video camera appears in the capture window. From here you can import data from the video camera or perform any other tasks you see fit with the video content.
