1
Draw a circle an inch or so smaller than the circumference of your face in the middle of a piece of cardboard. The best way to conduct this measurement to ensure the circle fits your face is to literally trace your face onto the cardboard. Cut this circle out.
-
2
Outline petals radiating from around the circle about a foot in length. You can draw as many as you'd like, but be sure to give yourself around 4 to 6 inches of cardboard between the intersections of the petals and edge of the face hole. Six petals usually works out nicely. Cut the petals out.

3
Paint the petals any color you'd like. They can be plain and solid-colored, or you can get fancy and add texture or design to the petals. Bright colors usually work best. Consider a lively pink, teal, or baby blue. Be sure to let the paint dry before proceeding to the next step.

4
Cut a piece of elastic so that when you wrap it from one ear to the other across the back of your head there is a good but comfortable amount of tension. Staple each end of the elastic to opposite sides of the face hole in the cardboard.
-
5
Put on green pants and a green shirt. Ideally, they will be close to each other in hue. Make sure your hair is slicked back away from your face.
-
6
Cover your face in yellow or orange face paint. If you'd like to get fancy, consider painting your face yellow, but adding orange streaks around the outside to make your face look more realistically like the center of the flower.
-
7
Put your flower petal headpiece on carefully, with your face going in the hole in the center, and the elastic strap pulled back around your head to keep the piece in place. You are officially a flower!

Tips & Warnings
A little bit of glitter never hurt anyone. Add some glamor to your look by using glitter glue on the petals and loose glitter with your face makeup.
Face makeup will sweat and rub off, so be careful to keep cool and not touch your face as much as is possible when in costume.
