How to Wear a Sarong With a Wooden Fastener
If you're one of the women who think there's only one way to tie a sarong, then it's time to put your thinking cap on because there are literally dozens of ways to wear one. Essentially, all a sarong is is a piece of fabric wrapped around the body and then draped to show maximum skin, while still providing coverage. Wear it as a shirt, wear it as a skirt or even turn it into a dress. Add a wooden fastener to keep it tied tightly and reduce the chances of the sarong coming undone.

1
Look at images of sarongs on websites like All Sarongs. You'll find multiple styles and photos of how the sarong works. Use the images as a guide to decide how you want to wear your sarong.

2
Wrap the sarong around your back to make a skirt. Pull the ends of the sarong to the front and adjust slightly until the ends meet at one hip. Slide the wooden fastener through the ends of the sarong and pull down until the sarong fits snugly at your hip.

3
Make a halter top by wrapping the sarong around the front of your body, so that the ends are in the back. Then cross the ends of the sarong in the back, move them to the front and wrap around your neck. Slide the wooden fastener into the ends at the back of your neck.
-
4
Wear the sarong as a dress by wrapping a longer sarong around your body until the ends meet in the back. At the base of your neck, slide the wooden fastener in place and slide the sarong through the sides of the fastener. Adjust the fastener until the sarong feels tight enough.
-
5
Tie the sarong for a different type of shirt. Wrap the sarong around your upper body, moving the ends towards your back. Roll each end of the sarong and secure at the base of your lower back, using the wooden fastener. From the front, it looks like a tube top, but from the back, you show much more skin.

O.K. step-by-step instructions, but not detailed enough. Step-by-step pictures would have made this a a 5 star rating.
