How to Install Norton Security Suite in Windows Vista

Norton Internet Security prevents and removes viruses

Protecting your PC from threats is more important now than it ever has been before. There are literally millions of different viruses, spyware and adware programs floating around, and any of these can cause a computer to stop functioning correctly. When it comes to prevention, there are lots of different programs, but many PC users choose the Norton Security Suite, also known as Norton Internet Security. Installing Norton Security Suite on your Windows Vista computer is a straight-forward and relatively fast process.

• Product key

Instructions

1. Remove any other antivirus or firewall programs currently installed on the machine. This is necessary because Norton Security Suite includes firewall and antivirus components, and it's not a good idea to have more than one of each. To remove these programs, simply click "Start > Control Panel > Programs and Features," and then select the programs you want to remove. Click the "Uninstall" button to complete the uninstall process.

2. Insert your Norton Internet Security CD. If you purchased Norton online, then double-click the Norton Security installation executable.

3. Click "Next."

4. Click "Next" to proceed with the installation of Norton Security Suite in the C:\Program Files folder. If you want to change this location, click "Browse" to select a different folder and then click "OK."

5. Click "Agree and Install" to proceed with the installation process. Wait for the installation process to complete, which may take several minutes

6. Click "Finish."

7. Click the Vista Orb and select "All Programs > Norton Security Suite."

8. Click "Activate Now." Type in your "Product Key" and then click "Next."

9. Type in your "Email Address" and click "Next." Then click "Done." You've now successfully installed Norton Security Suite.
