Novell Client software connects you to a Novell server.

Novell Netware client software gives Windows XP clients the ability to connect to servers with the Novell operating system installed. The software is only needed if you attach to a Novell server or device, so uninstalling it helps free up resources on your computer once it's no longer used. The Novell software is located in your network settings. Navigating to the Control Panel, you can remove Novell software from a Windows XP machine.

Instructions

    • 1

Click the Windows "Start" button and select "Control Panel." In the window that opens, double-click "Network Connections." This opens a window with a list of network devices configured on your machine.

    • 2

Right-click "Local Area Connection" and select "Properties." This window displays all the protocols installed on your computer.

    • 3

Click "Novell Client for Windows" in the list box displayed at the top of the window. Underneath the list box is a group of buttons. Click "Uninstall" to start the removal process.

    • 4

Click "Yes" at the confirmation screen to verify that you want to delete the service. It only takes a few seconds to remove the software. If you are prompted to reboot the machine, click "Restart" to reboot the computer.
