PC Recycling

Recycling old PCs is an important step towards helping reduce the strain on the environment and saving space in landfills. According to the Environmental Protection Agency, "In 2007, discarded TVs, computers, peripherals (including printers, scanners, faxes), mice, keyboards and cell phones totaled about 2.25 million short tons." Throwing away PCs also prevents the recapture of valuable minerals and metals that can be reused. Today, there is a growing trend of municipalities encouraging and even requiring PC recycling. Dell has made the recycling process very simple for people who purchase their products, they will even recycle competitor PCs and accessories for free if you purchase one of their products.
