Use your computer to find a local consultant. Go to MaryKay.com and scroll to the bottom of the page. Click "Find an Independent Beauty Consultant in your Area."

Type in your zip code and press "Submit" to receive a list of Independent Consultants in your area.

A Mary Kay consultant will come over to help you get started. Choose a consultant from the list. Call her to schedule an appointment for her to sign you up as a Mary Kay consultant.

Ask questions to learn about the business. Meet with the Mary Kay consultant and sign the Mary Kay Independent Beauty Consultant's contract.

Purchase your supplies. Pay the start-up fee to receive products and information to be used at your first Mary Kay party.
