How to Make a Coupon Book for Valentine's Day
Valentine's Day reminds people to tell the special people in their lives that they are loved. The tokens of affection used to carry this message are traditionally flowers, candy, romantic dinners, weekend getaways and other special--and often expensive--items. Valentine's Day doesn't have to be expensive and can mean more to your partner if you show her that you put more thought than money into a gift. A homemade coupon book can send that message and remind her of it every time she uses a coupon throughout the year.

1
Make a list of coupons you want to include in the coupon book. Some suggestions are cooking dinner, a back massage and exclusive control of the remote. Be inventive and make it personal, giving things that you know mean a lot to your partner.
-
2
Set up a document layout on your computer for printing a sheet of paper with various small coupon sections on it or lay out the paper on a work surface so you can design them by hand.
-
-
3
Type the content you want for the coupon into your document if you are using the computer. Leave more room on the left side of the coupons than on the right so you'll have plenty of space for binding the book together. Add clip art or other decorations. If you're making the coupons by hand, divide the paper into two, four or six sections and write the coupons and decorate them as you wish.
-
4
Print the computer coupons, if applicable.
-
5
Use scissors or a paper cutter to cut the coupons apart. Scissors with a decorative edge will make the coupons look extra special.
-
6
Cut a cover for the coupon book out of card stock or a romantic card. Make it slightly larger than the coupons.
-
7
Staple the pages and cover together along the left-hand side or punch two holes in the side and thread with ribbon and tie a bow to hold the coupon book together.
