How to Clear Tabs in Firefox
Internet users who use Mozilla Firefox to navigate the World Wide Web usually find a fully faceted browsing experience with many features. During a common browsing session, many people will open a number of tabs at the top of their browser as they jump from website to website. When they finish browsing, some people opt to save these tabs for another browsing session and other people wish to clear tabs in Firefox instead.

1
Click the "Tools" tab at the top of the Firefox browser. Select "Options" from drop-down menu that appears. Click the "General" tab at the top of the Options window.

2
Look beneath the "Startup" section and find "When Firefox Starts:" and click the arrow to make the drop-down menu appear. Make sure that "Show My Home Page" appears and not "Show My Windows and Tabs from Last Time." If you have the latter selected, your tabs will not clear from your last browsing session and you will always start a new session with the tabs you ended with previously.

Clear tabs in a current browsing session by clicking the "X" at the right edge of any tab. Another way to close tabs is to click the tab you wish to close, select "File" and then choose "Close Tab." You can also use the middle button on your mouse (or the scroll wheel) to click the "X" at the right edge of any tab.
