How to Replace the Cabin Air Filter in a 2007 Avalon
The 2007 Toyota Avalon has a specialized filter for air that enters the vehicle. The cabin air filter traps particles, dust and allergens for the comfort and health of occupants. It also keeps the air vents clean and free of debris, ensuring proper airflow. Replacement cabin air filters can be bought at auto parts shops. The only tool needed for replacement is a screwdriver.

Place the Avalon's transmission in "Park." Open the glove compartment, located in front of the passenger seat. Remove all contents and place aside.

Locate the two screws on the "ceiling" of the glove compartment's interior. They secure the glove compartment to the dashboard. Using a flathead screwdriver, remove both screws. The glove compartment will now slide out of place.

Slide the replacement cabin air filter into place, ensuring that it stays within the retainer clips. Push the housing cover back into place. Slide the glove compartment back into the dashboard and replace the screws that secure it. Tighten the screws with the flathead screwdriver. Replace contents.
