How to Remove Chewing Gum From a Dryer Drum
The sticky properties of chewing gum can cause trouble when it sticks to appliances. Chewing gum melts from the high heat of a dryer and can get smeared on the walls of the dryer drum. Things You'll Need
- WD-40 spray
- Ice cubes
- Old towels
- Laundry detergent
- Dryer sheets
- Plastic knife or spoon

Spray the WD-40 spray around the edges of the stuck chewing gum. Let it soak for two to three minutes and try scraping it off using a plastic knife or spoon.

Rub ice cubes over the gum to harden it as much as possible. Use a plastic knife or spoon to scrape off as much hardened chewing gum as possible.

Put some old towels in the dryer and let it run on low heat for five minutes. This will soften the chewing gum to allow easy removal.
Make a thick paste of laundry detergent and water and use it scrub off as much chewing gum as possible. Run the dryer with old rags to ensure complete removal.

Soak dryer sheets in water. Apply on the stuck chewing gum spots and let it soak for 10 minutes. Scrape off the gum using the soaked dryer sheet to remove it completely. Rub thoroughly to get as much off as possible.
