How to Use a BlackBerry As a Radar Detector

Use your phone as a radar detector.

Many people use their BlackBerry phones as more than just a phone. From your BlackBerry, you can talk to friends through instant messaging and texts, surf the Web and download different BlackBerry applications. One of the applications available is Trapster. Trapster is a handy app that will send you a notice if any police officers with radar guns are in your vicinity.

Instructions

1. Click on the "BlackBerry" button to open your main menu. The "BlackBerry" button is located to the left of the cursor.

2. Select "BlackBerry App World" from the main menu.

3. Select the "Search" button from the bottom toolbar (the "Search" button icon is a magnifying glass).

4. Type "Trapster" in the search box then click "OK."

5. Select "Trapster" when it appears on the screen (the icon for Trapster is a little police car). Click on the application to begin downloading it. When finished, you can access Trapster through your BlackBerry's main menu--click on it to open and use.
