How to Get Rid of Adware Advertising

Get rid of adware advertising before it takes over your computer.

There are few things more annoying for a computer user than adware advertising. Constant pop-ups can render your machine practically unusable, ironically making you hate the products they're trying to sell. The longer adware is on your computer, the more advertising it will display. Get rid of it now using a tool included on all Windows computers.

• Malicious Software Removal Tool

Instructions

1. Click your desktop's "Start" menu, type "mrt" and press "Enter" to launch Microsoft's Malicious Software Removal Tool. If this tool seems to be missing or the adware has disabled it, you can download another copy (see Resources section).

2. Click on the button labeled "Next."

3. Select the option labeled "Full Scan." While this can take longer than "Quick Scan," it presents a better chance of finding and getting rid of the adware.

4. Click on the button labeled "Next." Wait for the tool to complete scanning the adware-infected hard drive.

5. Follow the prompts to get rid of the adware.

6. Click on the button labeled "Finish."

7. Restart your PC.
