How to Make a Christmas Gift for Mom
Often, the best gift for mom is one made and not bought, because it involves more thought and creativity than just shopping. Making a gift takes effort, as well as time, and a desire to please someone else. But making a gift for Mom does not need to be an exhausting process. Consider memories shared with Mom and things that she enjoys. This Christmas give Mom something that she will treasure because you created it.

1
Fill a blank canvas book with stories about your life or a story you yourself create. Use a black fabric pen to write about Mom baking cookies with you or reading you a book. Or pretend you are a knight or a princess and create a story about your mother the queen. Use colored pens to illustrate your story.
-
2
Close the book. Give the book a title and list yourself as the author. Draw a picture to match the story inside the book.
-
-
3
Wrap the book with Christmas wrapping paper and write "Merry Christmas" on it. Give your mom the present.

Buy a blue glass bottle with a cork stopper at a craft store.
-
5
Wash the bottle with soap and water. Dry it with a clean rag.
-
6
Spread newspaper on a table and set the bottle on the paper.
-
7
Tape a stencil around the bottle. Consider placing flowers, hearts or other designs on the bottle. Or skip the stencil and draw free-hand.

Wrap the bottle in tissue paper and place it in a box. Write "Merry Christmas, Mom" on the box and give it to her.
