How to Make a Dragonfly Key Chain With Craft Lace
Key chains are among the most common personal items we use every day--if you have one thing in your pocket or purse right now, there's a good chance that it's a key chain. Because you use a key chain so often, you might as well have one that you enjoy looking at. There's no need to settle for a bland manufactured key chain; you can easily make your own dragonfly key chain in less than an hour.
Things You'll Need
- Eight 12-inch pipe cleaners
- Large plain metal keyring
- Craft lace
- Scissors

1
Insert the pipe cleaner into the metal key ring and fold the pipe cleaner in half so the key ring is at one end. Twist the remainder of the pipe cleaner around itself to hold the key ring in place and fold the ends of the pipe cleaner over to make a knob.

2
Cut a long, one-inch-wide strip of fabric scrap with your scissors. Bind one end of the strip to one end of your pipe cleaner with the needle and thread. Tightly wrap the strip around the length of the pipe cleaner and bind the end in place with needle and thread.

Cut four 1-inch strips of craft lace. Make each strip approximately 4 inches long. Fold the first lace strip in half and sew the ends of the strip to the fabric scrap surrounding the pipe cleaner. Place this strip just behind the knob at the end of the pipe cleaner.
