Instructions

Place the waterbed mattress liner in the waterbed frame on top of the heating pad. Do not move the heating pad from its position in the middle of the frame. Spread the liner out, and pull each of the four corners into the waterbed frame corners. Smooth out all wrinkles in the liner by gently running your hands from the center out to each side and corner.

Unfold an optional duvet cover, and place it in the frame in the same manner as the liner. Make sure that the manufacturer's label at the foot of the bed is facing up. Smooth all wrinkles out of the duvet so it is flat. Unzip the duvet cover on both sides, and drape the top half over the headboard so it is out of the way. Re-smooth the bottom layer in the frame to remove all wrinkles.

Unfold the waterbed mattress, and place it in the frame with the fill valve at the foot of the bed. Center the mattress, and pull each corner out to the corners on the duvet cover without moving any layers underneath the mattress. Smooth all wrinkles out of the mattress by running your hands from the center out to the edges and corners.

Tips & Warnings

  • Stand-up safety mattress liners install in the same manner, with the sides standing on all four sides and the bottom of the liner smoothed out flat.

  • Do not tape the mattress liner to the frame of the bed. This can cause tears in the liner, which could allow a tiny leak in the mattress to fill the liner and leak onto the floor. A flooding waterbed can cause extensive damage to the floor and to the ceiling on the lower level of a house or apartment.
