How to Replace the Windshield Wiper Blades on a 1992 Chevrolet Truck

Your 1992 Chevy truck's windshield wiper blades should be checked every six months and replaced if worn or damaged. The windshield wiper blades are especially prone to chipping or cracking if you drive your truck in a lot of harsh or extreme weather. If you don't replace the wiper blades, and they fail during inclement weather, you could end up in a serious automobile accident. Replacement windshield wiper blades can be purchased from most auto-parts stores.

Instructions

1. Pull the wiper arm away from the truck's windshield until the wiper arm locks in a vertical position.

2. Swing the wiper blade so that it is perpendicular to the wiper arm.

3. Press down on the release tab on the top of the wiper-blade assembly.

4. Pull the wiper blade off the wiper arm.

5. Slide the new wiper blade into place until it locks into the wiper arm.

6. Swing the wiper blade so that it sits flat against the wiper arm and lower it back down to the windshield.
