How to Turn a Wine Charm Into an Earring
If you've ever struggled to keep track of your wine glass at a party, you know the benefit of a sparkling wine charm dangling from the base of your glass. When you place a distinctive wine charm on your wine glass, you can easily identify it as your own. Take a close look at a wine charm and you may notice that it resembles an earring with a round hoop. In fact, often an earring hoop is the hoop of a wine charm. Turn a wine charm into an earring for an unusual project.
Things You'll Need
- Chain nose pliers
- Circular earring hoop
- 2 or 4 colorful beads (3 to 4 mm)

Close the wine charm by hooking the curved end of the hoop through the hole on the other side of the hoop.

Grasp the curved end of the wine charm hoop with the chain nose pliers and bend it back flat against the hoop to prevent the curved end from slipping out of the hole. Pinch the curved end of the wire tightly with the chain nose pliers to make it flat--now the wine charm hoop will not come apart.

Open the earring hoop and slip one or two colorful beads onto the open end of the hoop. Place the wine charm hoop onto the earring hoop. Slip one or two more colorful beads onto the hoop. You now have beads surrounding the wine charm hoop in the center of the earring.

Close the earring hoop by inserting the curved end of the hoop through the hole in the other end of the hoop.
