How to Troubleshoot the Remote Keyless Entry of a 1995 Dodge Caravan
The 1995 Dodge Caravan is one of the many Dodge vehicles equipped with a keyless entry system. This feature allows you to remotely access your car's locks, engine starter, trunk and panic alarm from as far as a couple hundred feet away. Determine if you need to replace the battery first if this is the issue. Use a knife or razor to open the remote and simply pull out the old battery and set a new one in its place. Snap together the two sides of the remote once you have replaced the battery.

Enter your vehicle with your keyless remote and press the "Lock" button on your remote five times in quick succession, waiting two seconds between each press. This will reset your remote and allow you to reprogram it.

Insert your key into the ignition and turn the key to the "Run" position. Wait for the Caravan's chimes to stop before continuing.

Press and hold the "Unlock" button on your remote for four seconds, then press and hold the "Panic" button on the remote for one second while continuing to hold the "Unlock" button.

Release both buttons at the same time and wait for a chime to indicate that the troubleshooting was successful.

Press and release the "Unlock" and "Lock" buttons on the remote, then press and release just the "Unlock" button. A chime will again sound to indicate that reprogramming was successful.

Turn your key in the ignition back to the "Off" position and remove it from the ignition to end the troubleshooting sequence.
