Instructions

    • 1

Find some cheap small figurines that are either glass or plastic, or anything that won't dissolve in water, at local thrift stores. You can also find some cheap figurines at your local dollar store, especially around the holidays. Buy as many figurines as you need to accommodate a kit for each guest with one figurine per kit.

    • 2

Purchase glass jars, or recycle jars around your house, with lids that seal tightly. You can use old baby food jars or jelly jars. Collect one for each kit.

    • 3

Measure out 1/2 cup florist clay and seal it in a plastic bag. Do one bag for each kit. You can even have a back-up bin of florist clay at your crafting table in case guests need a little more.

    • 4

Measure out about 1 tbsp. white glitter for snow, and place into a small plastic bag for each kit. You can also use other colors of glitter depending on preference, or simply sit varying glitters in the center of your crafts table for guests to choose.

    • 5

Set a few jugs of distilled water and a jug of glycerin in the center of your crafts table for guests to use. This will be easier than measuring out these fluids and putting them in the kits. You want enough water to fill each jar almost full, say a few centimeters from the top, and enough glycerin to add four or five drops to each jar.

    • 6

Put one figurine, one glass jar, one bag of pre-measured florist clay and one bag of pre-measured glitter into a small gift bag or shoe box to complete your kits. Pass out kits at your next gathering and enjoy making these easy snow globes together.

Tips & Warnings

  • To make snow globes, put some florist clay in the lid of your jar, then push your figurine into the florist clay. Fill jar almost to the top with water, than add a few drops of glycerin and your glitter. Place lid, with figurine attached, into the jar and twist it as tight as possible. Wipe away any water that may have spilled over and enjoy your snow globe.
