How to Flash the 8800 GTX BIOS
The Geforce 8800 GTX is a midrange computer graphics card made by Nvidia. The Geforce 8800 GTX was among the first SLI-capable graphics card to feature support for the DirectX 10 file library, and as such it was fairly popular following its inception. Users are able to flash the BIOS of the Geforce 8800GTX to make changes to various settings including speed and voltage. While the process is somewhat difficult, it shouldn't take more than an hour to learn and complete.

Navigate to the NVFlash Download Page found in the Resources section of this article.

Download the latest revision of the NVFlash software for your operating system.

Run the completed installer, and install NVFLash to your local hard drive. Choose an easy-to-find location to install the program to, as you will need to add files to this directory later.

Move the 8800GTX BIOS file you wish to use for the flashing operation into the directory you installed NVFlash to. Take note of the file name for your BIOS as you'll need to refer to it later.

Open the Start Menu, then select \"Programs\", followed by \"Accessories\". Open \"Command Prompt\" from the list of available accessories.

Navigate to the directory where you installed NVFlash. Do this by typing \"X: CD \\NVFLASH\" where \"X\" is the drive letter where NVFlash is installed.

Initiate the flash sequence by typing \"nvflash.exe newbios.ROM\" where \"newbios.ROM\" is the file name of the BIOS you wish to flash to.

Type \"Y\" to confirm the flashing operation, then press \"Enter\". When the process is complete a notification will appear stating \"Update Successful\". You should then close the command window and restart your computer.
