How to Replace a 2002 Silverado Windshield Wiper Motor

The Silverado's wiper motor drives the windshield wipers on the truck. The 2002 Silverado uses a canister-type wiper motor mounted on the firewall in the engine bay. When the wiper motor starts to fail, the wipers may hesitate before failing completely. If you notice any squealing, the motor needs to be replaced. If your motor fails during a rainstorm, you could end up in a serious accident. Replacement wiper motors can be purchased from most auto-parts stores.
