      Clean your leather couch before you attempt to repair it. It is important to remove any dirt or debris so that you are working with a clean surface during the repair process. Use a vacuum and a leather upholstery cleaner to prepare the surface of the couch.

      Locate a leather shoe polish that matches the color of your leather furniture. Apply the polish to the scratches with a cotton swab. Try not to get the polish on anything other than the scratch.
