How to Troubleshoot Cucusoft
The Cucusoft suite of software encompasses several different conversion programs that you can use to change large video formats into portable ones. No matter whether you are trying to convert video to play on your iPod, Zune, PSP or other portable device, Cucusoft programs are a great solution to your video conversion needs. However, if you are having problems with Cucusoft, there are some troubleshooting steps you can take to solve common problems with Cucusoft software.

1
Close other programs. Like other video editing/conversion software, Cucusoft programs require considerable resources from your computer. Try closing other programs, including media players, Internet browsers, and antivirus software, then try continuing your conversion.
-
2
Disable your screen saver. If you are converting a long video, your screen saver may be triggered if you leave the computer alone. This may interfere with the process and cause the conversion process to pause or abort.

3
Make sure you have the right video playback codecs. Cucusoft will need to access certain playback and encoding codecs in order for the software to convert your videos correctly. If the videos convert without one component or convert in low quality, try downloading a codec pack (see Resources).
-
4
Change the aspect ratio. If your video looks distorted after conversion, the aspect ratio may be off. In Cucusoft's top menu, click the "Profile" button, select "Aspect Ratio" from the drop-down list menu then select a new aspect ratio. Try converting again.
